Record of a Friendship

(Ben Green) #1

P. affair. They introduce personalities instead of the work. Tiresome
when I have to concentrate on moving pianos and books all day long.
If my article hasn't been printed in the journal ask Wolfe not to use
it. I don't like it now; I always feel like that about writing; by the time
it is printed I've thought of another way. Yours in haste and worry.

My dear Reich,

A short letter because I am moving my school and am very
busy. Many thanks for your two books.· You are a wonderful man,
Reich. I read you and realise that I know nothing of psychology.
And shall I try to get a London publisher for your two latest books?
I think I could now that the war is over.
My own new bookt isn't out yet, and I hate its appearance, for
much of it I don't like now. A book written during a war is bad; things
change too quickly. I didn't see the tum to the Left in politics here.
What of the atomic bomb? How does it connect with your Orgone?
Death versus Life. Inorganic versus Organic. Death always seems to
win in science.

P .S. How is Peter?
Had a wonderful dream last night in which I came to N.Y. and saw
you in your lab. It was a disappointment to awake. How I am to come
over in reality I don't know. I have just been over to Suffolk and there
is work there to restore the place, years of work, for the land is all
weeded and I'll have to become a gardener for at least a year.
