[With the previous letter, Neill had enclosed a draft of an English
translation of the paper on bions. It is to this that Reich now al­
ludes.]

March 3, 1939
Dear Neill,
I don't believe that they will take the Bion paper, but I am
sending it [back] to you anyway. Maybe you have luck. I corrected the
ms. as well as I could and enclose some pictures. They are very im­
portant. The translation seems all right.
My eyes are better, but I don't dare do any work with those bions
on the microscope. It aches immediately. The radioactivity is quite sure
now. I am trying to get a physicist to measure it out. But what is wrong
with your eyes?
Rasenformig means growing like grass on earth naturally. Zeitraffung
means taking up only one picture in a while, so that the movement
becomes very quick.

Once more I have nothing to report but failures. Ethel Mannin
the novelist was arranging for her and me to go to Wells for lunch.
Suddenly I got a letter from her saying she had had a violent quarrel
with him because she had criticised him in a book. So the lunch never
came off.
Then I went to see my friend the editor of the Lancet. He began thus:
