Just the other day, I saw a gorgeous, dew covered flower but the surrounding area was ugly - to
say the least.

What to do?

Just slip a light tent over the flower!

Remember in one of the previous sections where I mentioned that – since you have such a
narrow depth of field – a slight breeze moving your flowers can destroy your photos? Oh, and by
the way, I’m not talking a gale force wind here. A breeze that is so minor you wouldn’t normally
even notice it is more than plenty.

What to do?

Just slip a light tent over the flower!

Take some translucent material, make a circular tube out of it, then cut a hole in the side for your
lens. Slip it over the flower and you have a windbreak that will give you a nice, soft, diffused
light. Plus it has the added benefit of disguising an unfortunate background.
