What kind of translucent material?

You can use a piece of translucent plastic, you can make a wire frame out of a coat hanger and
cover it with tracing paper... I’ve even seen them made out of a milk jug. Whatever works!
Don’t get hung up on buying expensive commercially made equipment. Usually, whatever you
can cobble together yourself will work just fine.

Create A Stunning Background

If you don’t want your background to be the pure white of a light tent, here is a trick that pro
photographers have been using for decades... provide your own background!

Take some diffused out of focus pictures of backgrounds and have a stack of 11 x 14’s printed.
Then, when you want a nice background for a photo, sift through your stack of backgrounds,
pick one you like and just prop it up behind your subject. Or, tape it to the inside of your light
tent.

Is the background in the above photo real? Or, is it a photo? It’s impossible to know. How about
the next one? Or the next?
