As one who is married, I completely understand how to
acknowledge my husband’s existence even when he is not
physically with me. It’s very practical: I am faithful to my
spouse when we are not together. I act as if I’m married even
when we’re apart. I wear a ring that reminds me and shows
others that I am “taken.” And because I know my husband
loves me, is counting on or rooting for me even when we’re not
together, I proceed accordingly. I have a conscious
understanding that he owns my heart. He is always present
with me, though not visible to others—whether I’m on an
airplane, at a hotel, working at the office, or shopping at the
mall.


It is similar with God. He is always with us, but because we
can’t see Him, it’s easy to forget He’s there. Being with God
can be very practical. Here are just a few ideas:
