terrorism will be defeated, nowhere in this speech does the
Prime Minister explain to the British public what it is that
could have motivated the Muslim terrorists. He does show
that as early as 2005 the political elite knew the key role
that the Caliphate (Islamic State) played in the motivation
of Muslim terrorists. Within a decade of this speech, the
Islamic State had come back into existence.
Britainʼs highly-educated Prime Minister Blair had
been a lawyer after graduating from Oxford University.
He claimed the problem with terrorism from Muslims is to
be found in countries all over the world, and that these
terrorists follow a “perversion” of Islam. But what he did
not say is that this supposed perversion is nothing more
than a literal reading of what the Koran says, a reading
supported by Muslim interpretations of the Koran which
have been accepted as the standard interpretation for
over 1000 years.^89 And this “perversion” was part of a plan
to return the World of Islam (Dar al-Islam) to the state in
which it had been from the time of Mohammed until the
early 1920s. Unlike President Bush, the former lawyer Tony
Blair didnʼt even bother to try and prove to his audience in
what way Muslim fundamentalists have perverted Islam.
The Prime Minister’s entire speech is just smoke and
mirrors, hand-waving to distract the public from the idea
that this is a fundamental clash of civilisations. While the
public are kept in the dark about the doctrines and history of
Islam, the public will not understand that it is a clash of
civilisations that goes back to the time before the USA
existed, to a time before the British Empire existed. Islam
