But you can take and sell successful fl ower photographs, provided
you add a little something extra. Consider the following as
suggestions:



  • Get in close. Most compact cameras have a “macro” setting, and now is the time
    to use it. Got a single-lens refl ex (SLR)? Buy a 1 : 1 macro lens for it. Shoot those
    interesting details.

  • Use selective focus. It is all the rage for fl owers as well as for food, but if you do,
    make sure that the key element in the image is sharply focused. Selective focus
    does not mean no focus.
