WASH YOUR SKIN FROM THE INSIDE


Part    of  the reason  skin    gets    damaged is  lack    of  moisture.   Drinking    plenty  of
water every day (there’s no magic number, but eight glasses is a nice goal
to shoot for) will help produce a Broadway spotlight glow. Many fresh
foods are mostly water (cucumbers are 96 percent water and tomatoes are
94 percent water). Munch a piece of watermelon, too, because its high
water content makes it great at hydrating the skin. Other fruits with the
same effect are cantaloupe, honeydew, and strawberries.

The dermis is made up of cells called fibroblasts. These are your workhorse
cells, because they make collagen and elastin—proteins that give skin its
strength, suppleness, and resilience.
One of the main reasons skin ages or loses its glow is the gradual weakening
of collagen and elastin. When they get damaged (from ageing, sun exposure,
toxins, and poor diet), skin loses its ability to stretch. It gets rigid, sags, and
splits.
Because your skin is attached to muscle, creases can form when you move
your face and body. Over time, that area forms a groove. It’s sort of like a stress
