with a couple of partners, but that was exhausting and
sometimes we barely broke even after a weekend of hard
work. The idea of selling on the Internet seemed very
appealing, so I jumped in.
It was not easy selling computers and related items on
eBay, because of the stiff competition from several other
countries. I began to search for something else that would
sell better and be easy to ship. You may remember a toy
that was very popular in 1998 and 1999. It was called
Furby, and became the craze that year. Everyone wanted a
Furby for Christmas, but they were difficult to find.
After three months of finding more of this toy to sell,
purchasing them at a low enough price to make it all
worthwhile, going through the sales process on eBay, and
then shipping hundreds of boxes around the world, I was
ready to hang up my hat with selling physical products.
You can become an affiliate for Amazon, if you live
somewhere that this is still available, or go over to
Commission Junction and see the hundreds of physical
products they represent. Digital is much better, in my
opinion, especially when you are just getting started with
your business.
