On the next day, the landlord heard that all his uncultivated land was
full of golden crops. He visited the hut of the Brahmin widow. He
gave her all the uncultivated land as a gift. He also made a big house
for the lady and her son. Along with that he asked all his people to
worship goddess Lakshmi.
Saraswati
Sarawati is the power of knowledge of Ishwara. She is the goddess
of learning. Her complexion is fair. Her dress is white. She sits on a
white lotus. She holds a book in her one hand and a veena in the
other. She is also called 'Veenapani' for the lute she holds. A white
swan is her carriage.
