Dialect Poetry of Southern Italy (Italian Poetry in Translation Book 2)

Cosmos

Now we’ve gone up to the moon
for no other gems than just
some old rocks and piles of dust
soon we’ll go among the stars
just like driving in our cars.
Turning here and turning there
in and out and down and up
is this how we want to live?
Always going never knowing
where we started or we’ll stop.
