Film Little Joe
BBC2, 11.15pm
Emily Beecham stars as
Alice, a scientist (and
single mother) who has
developed flowers that
have antidepressant
capabilities. However,
they are replicating
themselves and
threatening to turn the
global populace into
calm, unfeeling
zombies. (12, 2019)
her with WhatsApp
messages, turned up
at her parents’ house
and even followed her
to Ibiza. He was
eventually arrested,
but Dooley reveals that
only 1 per cent of
reported stalking
incidents result in a
charge or conviction.
She meets the
specialist unit trying
to improve these
troubling statistics.
Stacey Dooley:
Stalkers
BBC1, 10.35pm
Most people know
their stalker, but
Stacey Dooley is
meeting some of the
10 per cent who are
stalked by a stranger.
Abby is a dancer who
has been stalked for
more than a year by a
fan who found her
online. He bombarded
directly, as seemingly
ordinary situations (in
the first of tonight’s
double bill he hosts a
party for his daughter
and has an audition for
a TV show) go awry as
his imagination runs
riot. It’s an acquired
taste. At least Jones
acknowledges his
show’s main flaw, with
a poster on a wall
stating “Write some
actual jokes”.
The Mind of
Herbert
Clunkerdunk
BBC2, 10pm/10.15pm
The comedian and
writer Spencer Jones
returns with a second
series of... what is it
exactly? Sketch show?
Sitcom? Absurdist
nonsense? Jones’s
titular creation spends
most of the time
addressing the camera
Katie Price’s
Mucky Mansion
Channel 4, 9pm
If you are a fan of
Grand Designs and
Katie Price, this three-
part series is for you.
Price’s mansion in
Sussex is in such a state
of disrepair that it is
uninhabitable. The
tabloids nicknamed it
the “mucky mansion”
after it was vandalised
by thieves, the grounds
were targeted by fly-
tippers and Price
abandoned the initial
restoration. This
adversely affected
Price’s mental health to
the extent that she
couldn’t even set foot in
it, but she is now
determined to make it a
family home again and
has invited the cameras
along to witness the
ambitious project.
