from beyond, where all grows cloudy and obscure.
AllareChrist's. ThefullnessofGodisthere,the
complete revelation,allthetreasures of wisdomand
knowledge,allthedeepsofinfinitethoughtandaction.
ThentheBiblemustbeouraidinthestudyofall
science,astronomyincluded;fortheBibleisouronly
meansof intelligentlyreceiving andknowing Christ.
Andthesetreasures"inHim"includeallthetreasures
of truth, all forms oftruescience. Theword "all"
barsanyexceptions.
ThisisnottosaythattheBiblecontainseverypos-
sible phrasingof truth, orevery single detail of it.
WearetoldthatifallthatJesus didwerewritten,it
issupposedthateventheworldcouldnotcontainthe
booksthatshouldbewritten. YetHislife,theunity,
thecompletenessofHislife,iscontainedintheBible.
That theworld couldnotcontain allthebooks that
mightbewrittenofHislife,isbecausetheprinciples
representedaremanifestations of infinite truth; and
infinitetruth, tobe fully expressed,requires infinite
expression. But thus infinitely expressed, all truth
wouldfilltheworld,and,indeed,theuniverseitself;
andwouldfillitnotonlynow,butthroughouteternity.
YetintheBible,inprinciplesofinfinitemeaning,in
words of never ending import, is recorded the all-
wisdomofGod. AllthatisofGod isintheWord.
It islockedincomprehensive statementsthatcannot
failtobeunderstood,yetsorichlystoredthattheybe-
come treasures asinexhaustibleas eternityandGod.
