Chanel
Couture week’s second viral moment? (After Kanye
West and his new squeeze Julia Fox’s double denim, of
course.) Leave it to Chanel, which called upon Charlotte
Casiraghi, 11th in line to the throne of Monaco, to ride
her actual horse — Kuskus, a Spanish bay — through a
constructivist set by contemporary artist Xavier Veilhan.
The rider wore Chanel, while models wore 1920s tailored
twin sets, handwoven tweeds and embroidered organza
eveningwear. The iconic finale look — the Chanel
“bride” — heralded a new vogue in wedding flowers:
a navy blue and black camellia bouquet.
