Mattu Massi’s Cold Coffee

My favorite food memory is of my
mother’s youngest sister and her
smooth, cold, and frothy cold coffee.
We’d be visiting my grandmother’s
home in Chandigarh, and after a
morning of eating and resting we’d
cleanse our palates with a freshly
blended glass of pure magic. It’s a
refreshing change to the overly
sweetened cold coffees found in coffee
shops in the United States. Massi uses
whole dairy milk, but I substituted soy
milk, and it actually worked. If you
don’t like soy milk, try other vegan
milk substitutes.
