Blueberry-Green Smoothie

Everyone thinks I’m crazy when I tell
them I mix karela and spinach with
blueberries. Try it. You’ll barely taste
the greens. My kids love this smoothie
with just the spinach—even after I
finally admitted to them that they’d just
gotten their daily dose of veggies along
with it. Add the karela for you and the
added health benefits.


1 cup (155 g) frozen blueberries


1 cup (237 mL) milk (soy, almond, rice,
or hemp)


1 (1-inch [2.5-cm]) piece bitter melon
