ing. The problem is they believe their service or product is not worth
the price tag they are asking, and they may be right. But, if you are truly
living your PURPOSE in an ethical way, you can provide products and
services that bring real value to your customers and clients.


Give yourself permission to financially prosper. There is nothing wrong
with profit. So long as the profit is based on real value you are able to
promise and deliver. If you are living your purpose in an ethical way,
you will naturally provide real value to your clients and customers. You
can’t do otherwise. You are not asking for something for nothing. But,
rather, a fair exchange of value for the product or service you deliver. If
your product or service is not worth the value you are charging, living
an ethical purpose cannot allow you to stay in that industry.


Money is not the root of all evil; it’s the love of money that is the root of
all evil. If you love money so much that you are willing to compromise
your ethics and values just to get it, you are on the road to certain, even-
tual failure. So long as your prices and billing practices are consistent
with the true value you bring to your clients and customers, a reasonable
profit is not only acceptable, it’s expected.


Whether you bring value to your customer or client by zealous represen-
tation or by providing a valuable product, you have the right to charge a
fair profit. So don’t let the emotional satisfaction you get for living your
PURPOSE outweigh the satisfaction you are entitled to by earning a
profit for delivering on promises you can make and keep.


The good news for your clients and customers is that because you are
living in line with your purpose, and passionate about your business or
profession, you will deliver a higher level of service than anyone else
you are competing with. If you earned a profit by adding value, don’t
apologize, you earned it.
