THE TEACHING COURSES IN THE WEST


The teaching systems in the Westernstates, as wellas other places,
havedependeduponthedevelopment,crystallization,andexpansionof
thematerialsciences.Peoplehavebeencompetingwitheachotherinthe
fieldsofscienceandknowledgesincethesetwoarewithinthelifeneces-
sities. They have also believed that the processes of illumination and
growthareobtainedthroughthepublicityofscienceonly.AdamSmith
says,“Any peoplethat are ruledbyan organizing governmentshould
never leave any individual uneducated.”.
Thecriterionofpeoples’progressalloverhistoryhasbeenbasedupon
thescopeofthenation’spossessionofteachingopportunities,whichare
the real wealth through which noble lives and mastership can be
achieved.
Inthepast, theWestwasmoaningin thechainsofignoranceafter it
haddegradedsociallyandmentally,andlostanypowerofprogressand
science.Myths,illusions,andweakcustomsandtraditionscontrolledthe
west for centuries. This feeling of defect and retardation induced the
peopletheretocommunicatewith theIslamic worldforexcerpting the
elements of renaissance andgrowth. Hence, they quotedmathematics,
chemistry,medicine,philosophy,andastronomyinadditiontootherle-
gislativeandsocialmethods.HundredsofIslamicscientificbookswere
translatedintotheirlanguagesthatmanyIslamictermsarestillnoticed.
The West burst forthin founding faculties and schools and itemizing
eachscienceandart.Yet,manyflawsthatledtothelossofaconscious
education have influenced the teaching courses there.
