Chapter 44

GOOD WORDING

The Islamic education has exerted all efforts for habituating to the
good wording and avoiding the bad. God says:
To Him do ascend the good words. And the good deeds lift them up.
ThegoodwordingascendstotheLordtorewarditandblessitssayer.
Islamhasemphasizedonthismatterinmanyoccasions.Godalsoorders
the servants of speaking only the best wording. God says:
AndsaytoMyservantsthattheyspeakthatwhichisbest.Surely,the
Shaitan sows dissensions among them.
And you shall speak to men good words.
Goodwordingachievesthegoodreputationandsavesfromnumerous
problemsanddifficulties,thesourceofwhichistheevilwordingthat,in
most cases, arouses spites and draws approaching damages.
LoweringthevoiceandavoidingnoisesarewithintheIslamicinstruc-
tions. God says:
Andloweryourvoice.Surely,themosthatefulofvoicesisbrayingof
the asses.
ImamMusaal-Kadim(a)narratedthattheProphet (s)likedthelow-
voiced and hated the sonorous.
Theloud-tonedspeechreferstotheillmannersandthedegradedbe-
haviors and ethics of the speaker.
Thepreviousnobletraitsare surelythe brandsofGod'sillumination
andthe gifts of His mercy. They pushto the good manners, aspireto
good doing, and preclude from irregularity and deviation.
