orwhoneedstobecalled,orissomethingburninginthekitchen?,etc.Thesethoughtsareworldly
thoughts.Simplybringthemindbacktotheoriginalobjectofmeditationorthehekau.Withmore
practice,theawarenessofthehekauorobjectofmeditation(candle,mandala,etc.)willdissipateas
yougodeeper.Thisisthepositive,meditativemovementthatisdesired.Thegoalistorelaxtosucha
degreethattheminddriftstodeeperanddeeperlevelsofconsciousness,finallyreachingthesource
ofconsciousness,thesourceofallthought;thenthemindtranscendseventhislevelofconsciousness
andthere,communeswiththeAbsoluteReality,Neter.Thisisthestateof“CosmicConsciousness,”
thestateofenlightenment.Afterawhile,thementalprocesswillremainattheSoullevelallthetime.

SLOWNESS MEDITATIONMETHOD
TheSlownessMeditationExerciseisoneoftheeasiestformsofpracticetocontrolthemind.Aswe
discussedearlier,theordinaryhumanmindisinaconstantstateofmotion.Thismotionoriginates
fromthedesireswhichconstantlycompelthemindtothinkaboutideasandhowtoacquiretheob-
jectsitwants.ThesetechniquesaresimilartotheChiKung,IndianYogaandBuddhistmindfulness
visualizationswhicharedesignedtohelpyoudevelopanawarenessoftheautomaticconsciousness
sothatyoumaygaincontrolofyourmindlesstendencies.Sincespeedandconstantmovementarethe
maincomponentsofmindlessnessortheautomaticconsciousstate,theSlownessexerciseisdesigned
tograduallyassistyouinslowingyourselfdownataphysical,mentalandfinallythespirituallevel.It
makes use of three major components. These are 1-slowness, 2-silence, and 3- steadfastness.
Slowingthe mind and body to allows concentration and meditation during any task at any time.
Silencingthe body to hear the voice of NETER (GOD), the inner Self.


Steadfastnessiskeepingtheideaeverpresentinthemindthatyouareaimmortalandeternalbeing,
madeandgivenlifebyyourFather-MotherCREATORtoexperiencethejoyoflivingbyremember-
ing who you are, thereby becoming a God(dess) yourself.
“As You Believe So Shall You Become.”
Afterawhile,theseideasandpracticeswillstaywithyou,evenduringyournon-meditationtime.
Youwillbecomemoreconsciousduringwork,playandotheractivities.Wheneverpossible,attempt
aformalsitdownmeditation.Theslownessexercisealongwithanintegratedprogramofavegetarian
diet,reducedtelevisionormoviewatchingandreducedtalking(eventuallykeepingsilenceforamin-
imumof 1 houraday)willhelpcalmdowntherestlessnesswhichleadstotheconstantseekingof
“fun”outsideofone’sself.KeepingtheHighestTeachingortheSteadfastideainone’smindatall
timesisalsoaformofmeditation.Youwillgraduallybreakdowntheillusionofwhattheworldap-
pears to be and gradually see it for what it is: your - Self.
