Fundamentals of Drawing Engineering Design with SOLIDWORKS® 2016


The Circle Split Line option contains the Item


Number and Quantity. Item number is
determined by the order listed in the assembly


FeatureManager. Quantity lists the number of


instances in the assembly.


Magnetic lines are a convenient way to


align balloons along a line at any angle. You


attach balloons to magnetic lines, choose to
space the balloons equally or not, and move the lines freely, at any


angle in the drawing.


Activity: Auto Balloons with Magentic Lines

Insert the Automatic Balloons.
446) Click inside the Isometric view boundary.




  1. Click Auto Balloon from the Annotation
    toolbar. The Auto Balloon PropertyManager
    is displayed. Leader attachment is selected
    to Edges by default. Accept the default
    settings.




  2. Click and align the magnetic lines as
    illustrated. Accept the default settings.




  3. Click OK from the Auto Balloon
    PropertyManager.




Display Item Number and Quantity.
450) Shift-Select the six Balloon text. The
Balloon PropertyManager is displayed.




  1. Select Circular Split Line for Settings from
    the drop-down menu. View the results in the
    Graphics window.




  2. Click OK from the Balloon
    PropertyManager.




Save the drawings.



  1. Click Save.
