Sensitization is possible following skin contact.

Pregnancy: Vomiting, epigastric pain, liver damage, kidney
damage, depression, sleep disorders, feelings of vertigo,
delirium, fainting, tremor, and spasm, occasionally with fatal
outcome, have occurred after misuse of extracts of the plant
as an abortive agent.
OVERDOSAGE
Vomiting, epigastric pain, liver damage, kidney damage,
depression, sleep disorders, feelings of vertigo, delirium,
fainting, tremor, and spasm, occasionally with fatal outcome,
have occurred in cases of overdose.
DOSAGE
Mode of Administration: Preparations of the leaves and root
are used internally as a tea and also externally.
Preparation: Tea or a cold decoction is prepared by adding 1
heaping teaspoonful to 1/4 liter of water. (1 teaspoonful is
roughly equivalent to 2.8 g drug).
Daily Dosage: 0.5 g of the drug is considered a medium
single dose; 1.0 g the maximum daily dose. The tea may be
taken several times a day. - v.

Delayed menstruation—2 cups per day of the infusion
For topical use, leaves are used to fill hollow teeth for
toothache and juice from the leaves is used as an ear drop for
earaches.
Homeopathic Dosage: 5 to 10 drops, 1 tablet or 5 to 10
globules 1 to 3 times a day or 1 ml injection solution sc twice
a week (HAB1)
