PINE NEEDLE OIL
Mode of Administration: The essential oil is administered in
alcoholic solutions, ointments, gels, emulsions, oils or as an
inhalant. It is used externally as bubble baths and bath salts.

Daily Dosage: For internal use. the daily dose is 5 gm drug.
For inhalation therapy, add 2 g oil to 2 cups hot water and
breathe in the vapors several times daily. When used
externally, several drops of a liquid or semi-solid preparation
containing 10 to 50% drug may be rubbed onto the affected
area. To use as a bath additive, use 0.025 gm drug per liter
water and bathe for 10 to 20 minutes at a temperature 35 to
38° C.
Storage: Keep protected from light in tightly sealed
containers.
TURPENTINE OIL, PURIFIED
Mode of Administration: Purified turpentine oil is adminis-
tered externally in the form of ointments, gels, emulsions,
oils, as a plaster and as an inhalant.
Daily Dosage:
External Dose — Varies according to the type and severity
of the condition as well as the instructions of manufacturer.
As a bath additive and plaster — Use as directed by
manufacturer.
Ointment/gel — 20% ointment/gel to be applied to the
affected area several times a day.
Inhalation — 5 drops oil in hot water 3 times a day, inhale.
