6.4.7 Incomplete Entry of Quality Control Data

„ When you have completed all checks, click ‘OK’ to close the QC box.

„ If you do not check that all items are complete, the system will display this message:

‘Not all the QC items were done. Do you wish to exit?’ See Exhibit 6-15.

„ If you want to complete the items before exiting, click ‘No’ to this message and

complete the items.

„ If you do not wish to exit without completing all the QC checks, click ‘Yes’ to this

message.

„ If all QC items were not complete, the system will remind you each time you log on

that the QC checks are not complete.

Observational Visits

The Cardiovascular Fitness component has two types of quality control visits, expert visits

conducted by consultants from the Cooper Institute of Aerobic Research (CIAR) and nonexpert visits

conducted by Westat project development staff. Consultants from the CIAR will make two field visits per

team per year. Each visit will last approximately 2 days. Whenever possible, visits will be made during
