2.2.1 Maintenance of the Programmable Controller
The MedTrack ST Controller requires little maintenance. Wipe surfaces down weekly with a
damp cloth to remove dirt and dust from the screen and inspect cables for unusual wear. Routine
maintenance of the Colin STBP-780 BP monitor involves:
Checking that the cable from the treadmill is connected securely to the back of the
treadmill controller.
2.2.2 Calibration of the Programmable Controller
The Quinton MedTrack Controller does not require any specific calibration. The speed and
grade for each of the eight exercise protocols on the treadmill controller will be confirmed on a weekly
basis. The chief technologist will be responsible for this procedure.
2.2.2.1 Confirming the Speed and Grade Settings on the Treadmill Controller
NOTE: This calibration check is to determine that the speed and grade settings on the
treadmill controller are programmed correctly. Section 2.1.2.1 deals with confirming the
validity of the belt speed.
Chief technologist:
Get Speed and Grade Table by Protocol and Stage (See Appendix J). Use this table to
check the settings on the treadmill controller.
Press the Power button on the treadmill controller to turn the power on.
To enter programming mode, simultaneously press Stop Belt, Cool Down, and Start
Course, then release them.
The message ‘Program’ scrolls across the display.
