If 2 is selected from the first level activity questions (see Exhibit 4-12 shown earlier),
the ISIS system will advance to the second level activity questions for regular, modest
activity. The second level questions for this category will be highlighted.
Read both highlighted options entirely before accepting the SP’s response. As with the
previous options, if the SP interrupts with an answer before you have completed
reading the options, remind them that you are required to read the options entirely
before accepting their response.
These questions are used to determine the amount of time the SP spends in regular,
modest physical activity per week.
If they spend 10 to 60 minutes per week in regular, modest physical activity, select 1
from the drop-down menu.
If they spend more than 60 minutes per week in regular, modest physical activity,
select 2 from the drop-down menu.
If the SP is having difficulty choosing between the options, read the options again to
give them time to decide. Do not answer the question for them. Ask them to choose
the option that is closest to their usual activity level.
If the SP refuses to select an answer or is unable to give a response, select ‘Refused’
or ‘Don’t Know’ from the drop-down menu. If ‘Refused’ or ‘Don’t Know’ is selected,
the SP is excluded.
The ISIS system will go to the Component Status screen. The status will be set to ‘Not
Done’ with the comment ‘Unable to calculate protocol.’ Most SP’s will be able to
select one of the options. Select 1 or 2 from the drop-down menu. Press the Next
button to advance to the next screen.
