THE ANARCHIST

MOMENT

Reflections on Culture,
Nature and Power

by John Clark

This original contribution to radical social thought attempts
for the first time to integrate contemporary philosophical
criticism within a framework of ecological concerns and the
philosophies of nature.

Arguing for the integration of self, society and nature.
Clark finds available social theory inadequate and offers
instead a theoretical perspective which combines both Eastern
and Western traditions of thought with a radical organicist
framework. He speculates that anarchism is capable of being
“much more than a noble dream" but is rather “a necessary
movement of negation constituting an essential element of
the theory of liberation.”

Dr. John Clark teaches political science at Loyola University
in New Orleans, Louisiana.
