My boyfriend says he doesn’t
know why he dumped me

I just got off the phone with my boyfriend a few hours ago, and he dumped me! I can’t
believe it. Everyone said we had the best relationship of anyone in our school. I thought so,
too! When I asked him why he was breaking up with me he said, “I don’t know.” Is that
possible?What Happened??Dear What Happened,When a guy backs out of a good relationship and says he doesn’t know why, there are a few
possible explanations:- He’s hiding something.
- He’s afraid of intimacy (so the closer you get, the more he wants to pull away).
- His track record makes him distrustful of romantic relationships, so he decides
to initiate the breakup before you dump him. - He’s fallen in love with someone else.
- He truly doesn’t know why!
I don’t know which, if any of these, is accurate in your case, but it seems to me that if
the relationship was as great as you thought it was, someone isn’t being honest. Sounds like
you need to have a conversation with your ex. If you make it safe for him to talk (without
interruptions or a guilt trip), he may be able to tell the truth about his decision to break up
with you. Let him know how you feel about the situation. You may not get back together, but
