“That which we persist in doing becomes easier to do,” said
Emerson, “not that the nature of the thing has changed, but
that our ability to do has increased.” As we learn to ask with
intent, listen without excuse, and act with courage, we build our
ability to live a principle-centered life...Over time, listening to
and living by conscience becomes the fundamental habit of the
heart.^31
The soul can’t be fed with ambition, accomplishment, and

proceed from God...^32
Wong Ming-Dao, the great Chinese Christian also known as
a “Man of Iron,” passed the potent verdict, “A person with a
blemished character is a person unworthy to work for God.”^33
