Watermelon

An ancient fruit enjoyed in Egypt 4000 years BC. Juice with the
skin for full benefits. For vata, serve with salt to help digestion.

Ginger,
 Lemon
 &
 Salt

All help digestion!

Onion

 and

 Garlic

Through their power of invoking the desire for water, these are
foods that best cut out. After re-introducing them into my diet after
a long period without I noticed how strongly they affected my
cravings and apparent 'appetite'. Potent stuff!

Sprouts

Once sprouts are ready, store refrigerated in a sealed container
for up to one week. (Hemp, sunflower and sesame for maximum 2
days otherwise they become bitter.) Either grow in a sprouting
dish or use a glass jar with nylon mesh (held by elastic band).
Alternatively use a ftat oblong potting tray and line it with mesh.
Soak all seeds overnight for best results.

After seeds have been soaked, rinse well and place in your
chosen tensil. Keep in a dark warm place. Rinse the seeds at least
twice a day with fresh water and stir gently. A day after the sprouts
start to appear leave on a windowsill until ready. Rinse before
serving/storing. Allow the sprouts to produce green leaves and
you will have the added benefit of chlorophyll rich leaves.
Sunflower, wheat grass and radish are best for this. You can eat
them as they are, with foods (avocados work well) or juice them.
