HERBS
Basil
So many types, try garlic and purple basil. Great with tomato.
Grow on your window sill as it is far better fresh. Delicious fresh in
salads and especially good with tomato.
Bay
leaves
Plant a laurel tree or find one near to pick. Indispensable with
lentils.
Caraway
seed
Delicious with vegetables and salad.
Cayenne
Pepper
Red powder that adds a great bite to foods and dressings. Useful
appetite stimulant and digestive. Use sparingly instead of pepper.
Chevril
Related to the parsley family it is great with eggs, salad or soup
and is easy to grow.
Chives
Another easy herb to grow as it is best fresh. Good sprinkling for
soups including miso, in cheese dips and on salads.
