It is estimated that approximately 75% of processed foods
(tinned, dehydrated, baby foods, chocolate etc.) contain
genetically modified organisms in the form of:
Soya products such as soya protein, textured vegetable
protein (TVP), soya protein isolate, soya flour, soya lecithin and
E322; maize products such as whole corn, corn oil, corn syrup and
corn starch; cotton products such as cotton seed oil; GE chymosin
such as vegetarian cheese rennet; rape seed (canola) in the form
of its oil; GE yeast for baking and brewing. Read the labels for
such specific ingredients as European Union legislation currently
allows the majority of GE foods not to be labelled as such.
Monsanto are the creators of Agent Orange. Over 10
million gallons of Agent Orange were used, and only recently are
we beginning to understand how it is linked to serious illness such
as cancer, skin and liver disorders. Monsanto are also responsible
for injecting cows with 'harmless' recombinant bovine growth
hormone. This is a genetically engineered copy of hormones that
cows naturally produce, intended to make them produce more milk
that they would normally. It was banned in Canada, throughout the
European Union and other countries but it is still being used in the
US and other countries where reports of high levels of pus and
other side effects have been reported. Monsanto are also owners
of the 'terminator technology'- a seed that kills ancient farming
techniques to guarantee profits. They are promoters of a world
reliant on Roundup (- ready crops by the sale of genetically
modified produce. Also producers of fake research, instigators of
pressuring book publishers to lie and television companies to
sensor truthful information (the 'Fox TV episode'). It is very difficult
for the consumer to know who to trust when such large
corporations are able to do as they please. This is only one
company and only some of the truths that have been uncovered.
