Technical
Seeds must be dried to less than 10% moisture to avoid modules
and sprouting. This is achieved to some degree by dry weather
after harvesting and is one of the skills of the farmer. When the
seed is taken conventional dryer it is important to keep the
temperature below 35C or 70C to avoid opening the seed to the
heat which will accelerate the rancidification process and shorten
its shelf life.
