or the second year in a row, South Korean

band BTS have been named as the

world’s best-selling music artists. The

list was put together by the IFPI,

which is an organisation that

represents the music business.

It added up artists’ sales,

streams and downloads. BTS

came out on top, which meant they

received IFPI’s Global Recording Artist of

the Year Award. Taylor Swift finished second,

and Adele came in third. Other artists in the

top 10 included Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran

and Justin Bieber.

BTS made their debut in 2013.

The name stood for “Bangtan

Sonyeondan”, which translates as

“Bulletproof Boy Scouts”. However,

they later changed this to Beyond

the Scene. They said this was to

encourage young people to strive for

better ways of living.

meet in the final of the Continental League Cup.

Chelsea are the holders, having won last year’s

final 6-0 against Bristol City. Manchester City last

won the tournament in 2019 when they beat

Arsenal in the final on penalties.

After being kicked out of his band, aspiring rock

star Dewey Finn poses as his best friend Ned to

get a job as a substitute teacher. Instead of

teaching the school curriculum, Finn decides to

recruit his students as bandmates and create the

world’s greatest rock band. Whether you like rock

music or not, School of Rock is a hilarious comedy

with a cast full of young actors. In the lead role of

Dewey Finn is Jack Black, who is a musician as

well as an actor. Black’s other hit films include

Goosebumps, Jumanji and Kung Fu Panda. His

enthusiasm is infectious and by the end of the

film you’ll be wanting to join the band. The film

was such a hit that it inspired a massively popular

stage musical.
