10.Place the nail set punch on the top of the
rectangle wire where you have marked the
wire and firmly strike the top of the nail set
punch with the hammer to create a stamped
circle shape on the rectangle wire. When you
strike the top of the nail set punch, strike it
only once firmly.
6.Using a^1 ⁄ 16 ” drill bit, drill holes into each end
of the rectangle wire pieces with a handheld
rotary tool, flex shaft, or drill press (don’t
forget to wear your safety glasses).
7.Use the file or fine grit sanding pad to
eliminate any burs or rough edges left from
drilling holes into the rectangle wire pieces.
8.Use the ruler to measure and mark the cen-
ter of each I” piece of rectangle wire, and
then measure and mark G” increments up
and down both of the I” rectangle wires.
This is where you will stamp the circle shapes
into the rectangle wires.
9.After marking the rectangle wires, place
them onto a hard, flat surface. You can use a
piece of masking tape on the ends of the rec-
tangle wires to hold them in place while you
are stamping them. Select a nail set punch.
(These are inexpensive and can be purchased
at any home improvement store; they usually
come in sets of three sizes, mix up the sizes
or choose just one size to stamp your circles.)
