ne of my favorite quotes sums up the focus
of my life for over four decades:
“Religion alive ... calls the soul to the
highest adventure it can undertake.”1/*
This is speaking of far more than mere ceremo-
nies, rituals, traditions and doctrines. “Religion
alive” is true spirituality: something that supasses
the intellect, transcends the natural realm, and
propels the seeker into an awareness of super-
natural reality and ultimate truth.

So I wholeheartedly agree. The most exciting,
most fulfilling, most intense adventure of my life
has been the pursuit of absolute truth and a real,
dynamic relationship with God. Many different
paths bore my footprints before I turned down
an ancient trail, often overlooked, that led to the
True Light; but the Spirit of God did lead me, and
for this I am eternally grateful.
