Benihana Fried Rice


Make delicious fried rice just like the cooks at Benihana with this terrific copycat. You can have a
professional-quality meal made right in your own kitchen.

INGREDIENTS | SERVES 4
5 tablespoons butter
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped carrots
2/3 cup chopped green onions
3 teaspoons sesame seeds
5 eggs
1 cup cooked rice
5 tablespoons soy sauce
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste


1. Melt butter in a large skillet. Add onions, carrots, and green onions. Sauté for 2–3 minutes
until carrots are translucent. Set aside.
2. Heat the oven to 350°F. Place sesame seeds in a shallow pan. Bake 10–15 minutes, shaking
pan occasionally, until golden brown.
3. Lightly grease another skillet and scramble the eggs.
4. Combine rice, vegetables, sesame seeds, and eggs. Add soy sauce, stir, and salt and pepper
to taste.

Benihana Hibachi Meat Marinade


This is a copycat of the Benihana Hibachi Steak, Shrimp, Chicken, or Scallops served at the
restaurant.

Marinade
1 tablespoon grated apple
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon grated garlic
