The Everything Restaurant Recipes Cookbook

(Tina Meador) #1
1. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium heat.
2. Add onion and cook, stirring frequently, for 2–3 minutes, until onion is translucent.
3. Break up Steakums pieces and add to skillet. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste; cook and stir
until steak is no longer pink (about 6 or 7 minutes). Remove from heat and set aside.
4. Place an egg roll wrap on a clean, dry surface with a corner facing you, like a baseball
diamond.
5. Place 2 tablespoons of beef and onions onto the center of an egg roll wrap and top with 1–2
tablespoons of Cheese Wiz. Don't overfill your wrapper.
6. Fold the corner closest to you over mixture, then flap side corners over and roll. Use water
or an egg wash to seal roll.
7. Heat and fill a high-sided pan with 1′′ of oil. Slowly add the rolls to oil and cook for 3 to 4
minutes, until golden brown on all sides.
8. Drain on paper towels, and serve warm with ketchup.
