Next, block in dark brown tree trunks and branches using the chisel edge. Then, using the flat side,

create shadows at the base of the reeds, the tree trunks, and the edge of the shore. Use the flat side to

add shadows of branches reflecting in the water.

Block in the shadows of the trees reflecting in the water using the flat side of the dark red pastel.

Add more reflections to the water using the flat side of the rust red pastel, and create another layer

over the top of the deep red shades.
