(1951)and HarvardLawSchool(1954)and
servedin the UnitedStatesArmyInfantry

She was the only personon the boatthat day

BarbaraCollinsKehs passedpeacefullyfrom
the loveof her familyand friendsintothe
embrace of her Lordand SaviorJesusChrist,
on March11, 2022followingabrief illness.She
was 87.
The first-bornchildof Patand MarieCollins,
BarbaraAnne Collinsenteredthis life in Mem-
phis,TNin1934.She graduatedfromCentral
HighSchooland attendedMemphisStateUni-
versity.She marriedH.H.“Harry”Kehs,Jr. in
1957 and was the lovingmotherof two sons,
Patand Michael.
In additionto her skillsmanagingthe logistics
of raisingtwo activeboys,Barbarawas an
accomplisheddessertchefand volunteerin
civicorganizationssupportingthe Arts.But
her passionwasthe Church.Thatfaithand
communitywas essentialwhen,in 1978at the
age of 48, her husbandpassedaway.
Sheworkedat The Cathedral of St. Philip
in Atlantafor nearly25 years,most of that
timein an activeprayerministryand as the
AdministrativeAssistantin the Pastoral Care
Officeled by The ReverendCanonBruceShort-
ell. In 2000,she movedto Arlington,VA to join
The Falls Churchand be closeto her sons,two
sistersand theirfamilies.She was electedto
the ChurchVestry and laterbecamedeeply
involvedin the nurturingand buildingof The
Falls ChurchAnglican.
Shewasparticularlyinvolvedin ministries
servingothers,includingheadingthe Funer-
al/MemorialService ReceptionCommittee,
leadingGriefShareclassesfor 13 yearsand
addingher voiceto enumerable prayer chains.
Throughit all, she broughther positivespirit
andaseeminglyendlessarray of cookies,
cakes,brownies,and othertreatsto the delight
of the peopleshe loved,mentored,servedand
thanked.
Barbaraissurvivedby her lovingfamily:her
sons,her sisters,threeadultgrandsons,and
one (truly)greatgrandson.

wherehe servedon the boardfor 15 years
and was the Chairof its ExecutiveCommittee

to volunteerhis timeto supportthe Catholic

World of Sports.Bob alsoled the United
StatesTrack and FieldTeam to international

USSRTrack and FieldDual Meet.
Bob’scontributionsto the localcommunity
weremanyand varied,especiallyhis ded-
icationto the RomanCatholicChurchfor
whichBobwasnamedaKnightof Saint
Gregorythe Greatin 2019.In addition,Bob
servedas amemberof the Boardof Trustees
for the Basilicaof the NationalShrineof
the ImmaculateConceptionand The Catholic
Universityof America,faithfullypromoting
the missionof both institutions.

she startedin the salesdivisionat the senior
livingdepartmentat the HolladayCorporation
whichled her to the positionof Marketing
Directorfor SeniorLiving.Gerry retiredin 2005.
Gerrywasawomanof profoundfaith.She
was passionatelyinvolvedin the parishesat
St.IgnatiusofLoyolainUrbana,MDandSt.
FrancisofAssisiCatholicChurchinDerwood,
MD.Gerryand Tommovedto Raleigh,NC
in 2009to be closerto theirdaughterand
grandchildren.Shelovedher grandchildren
beyondall measure.Gerry is survivedby her
lovinghusbandof almost50 years;her three
children,Leslie(Rob)Brockman,Emily(Jon)
MaddenFryandTom(Rachael)Madden,as
wellas her ninegrandchildren.She is also
survivedby her sister,Bernie(Fred)Infield;
numerouscousins,niecesandnephewsand
countlessfriends.Shewasprecededindeath
by her parents,her sister,and her brother.
