Southern Stingrays are attracted in
large numbers to Stingray City, an
area in the North Sound of Grand
Cayman Island. Here, the water
depth is less than 2 m ( 6. 5 ft) and ac-
cessible to both snorkelers and scu-
ba divers. Divers can feed and even
pet the rays, which have become
more than accustomed to people in
