Jennifer Day is the director of nursing research at the University of Maryland
Medical Center, Baltimore and consulting associate at Duke University School
of Nursing. Day mentors clinical nurses in both evidence-based practice and
nursing research. Her research focus is on older adults and family caregivers;
her work on compassion fatigue has received NIH funding. She has presented
and published on these topics, in addition to how to engage clinical nurses in
nursing research and building PhD and DNP-prepared nurse partnerships for

Hayley D. Mark, PhD, MPH, RN, FAAN
Hayley D. Mark is professor and chair in the Department of Nursing at Tow-
son University in Towson, Maryland. Mark’s research expertise is in sexually
transmitted infections and sexual health, and she is widely published on these
topics. Mark has also presented nationally and internationally on the topic of
evidence-based practice in nursing. She has taught research methods to under-
graduate and graduate nursing students for over 15 years.Hyunjeong Park, PhD, MPH, MSN, RN
Hyunjeong Park is an assistant professor in the Department of Nursing at
Towson University. She has taught research methods to nursing students and
has expertise in facilitating evidence-based projects that expand collaboration
between students and diverse populations in community health nursing. Park
has also presented and published evidence-based research internationally.
