Boeing-Vertol Chinook H-91 (B-
800/CG.071) was unveiled at the
National Museum of Aeronautics in
Morón, Buenos Aires, earlier this
summer, following two years
of restoration.
Originally fl ying in the US as
N37007, the Chinook was one of
three ordered by the Argentine
Air Force (FAA) in 1979, and was
delivered on January 14, 1980.
Between April and June 1982,

this machine and H-93 were
operated by the FAA during the
Falklands confl ict.
After its military career ended,
H-91 was stored at Área Material
Quilmes until October 2015, when it
was transferred to the museum for
refurbishment. Chinook H-93 is also
at the attraction and is likely to be
repainted into the green and brown
camoufl age scheme it wore during
the Falklands operation. ESTEBAN BREA

Dragon Rapide accident in

Canada

Shortly before ‘FlyPast’ closed for press we learned that the Historic Flight Foundation’s
1944-built de Havilland Dragon Rapide G-AHXW had crashed at an airshow in Abbotsford, Canada.
Nobody was killed, but the accident resulted in some serious injuries, including to pilot John
Sessions. Our best wishes go out to all involved. PHOTO-HEILO KUIL
