At Hunters Lodge Fishery in
Lincolnshire, some lovely looking
carp have been caught this week,
and plenty of them. On Willow,
Andy Walton had a lovely looking
common of 23lb 13oz, part of a
double take. Also on Willow, Fred
Moiser took six sh to 16lb during
his 24-hour session, all caught on
Sticky White Ones. Working well on
Willow is the new Nashbait Key.
Lewis Marshall caught at least four
carp during the rst night of his
session on Willow using the new
bait. Meanwhile, on Kestrel, Sam
Bingham reported a lovely looking
dark mirror carp estimated at
around 15lb on DNA Baits products.

VENUE OF THE WEEK
Aston Park Fishery in She eld, South Yorkshire. ere
are seven lakes on site at this picturesque venue just o
J31 on the M1 motorway, and in truth, it has a bit of
something for everyone. Lilly Lake, at around two acres,
is the one which may interest the carper seeking a bend
in the rod and is reputed to contain sh to almost 30lb.
Surprisingly, there are more than 40 pegs to choose from,
as the venue is also used for matches occasionally, but I’m
assured it’s possible to get a bivvy on them too. A fairly
uniform depth of about 5ft means steady shing from
most pegs, and plenty of bait going in means there is
every chance of a busy session. e shery does o er a
three-rod ticket for this water, priced at just £10 for the
day, and it is recognised as the specimen water on the
complex.
ere are some super facilities too. e Water’s Edge
Cafe has 50 covers and is open all week; it even has Sky
TV! e Bait Bar sells a great selection of bait and tackle,
and o ers a free day ticket for spends of more than £
and a free polo shirt if you spend in excess of £100.
Angling coaching, junior events and great disabled access
make this a good shery for all the family. http://www.
