THIS EXCITING FOUR-DAY EVENT has attracted more than 25
entries for racing on Phuket’s waterways, with many more expected to
sign up before the action gets underway.
Multihull Solutions is the major sponsor of the event, which is
organised by Phuket Yacht Club. The regatta is open to all multihulls
(catamarans and trimarans) with an overall length greater than six
metres that are acceptable to the race committee.
Private and charter multihulls are welcome to enter, and the regatta is
expected to comprise the following classes: Racing Multihulls with valid

OMR ratings; Firefly 850 Sports One Design Class; Cruising Multihulls
without OMR ratings; and Corsair Pulse 600s.
Cruising multihulls will enjoy their own exclusive course throughout
the event, while five world-renowned Corsair Pulse 600s have already
entered, promising a thrilling spectacle of racing over the three days.
“We look forward to continuing our partnership with Phuket Yacht
Club to make it one of the most popular regattas in the entire Asia
Pacific region,” says Multihull Solutions Asia General Manager Andrew
de Bruin.

THE 13TH PHUKET RACE WEEK in

In Multihull Racing, the Stealth catamarans

launched is expected to join the line-up. Add
to that IMAGE Asia Nina, Thor, the chartered
DaVinci, the two 40+ foot trimarans Adrenalin
and former Route de Rhum winner Ta n t r u m
2 , and Multihull Racing looks set to be a very
strong class.
The Corsair Pulse 600s, numbering five, are
looking for a one-design class and some close
racing while the Firefly 850s will add a new
build to their numbers, in addition to a number
of chartered entries, and en masse they will
be out looking to break the speed record if the
breeze is up.
