metastases, this cancer with early T stage is stage IIB.
(A3) In the new Staging Manual, stage III is divided into stage
IIIA and stage IIIB. There is no stage IIIC (present in the
Manual of seventh edition). This group comprises mainly
cancer with lymph node metastases but without distant
metastases (M0). The only exception is T4a N0 cancer,
which is labeled as prognostic staging group IIIB.
(A4) Stage IV is newly subgrouped into stage IVA and stage IVB.
Stage IVA cancers are those have advanced T (T4a or T4b) and
