Air suspension

Link Manufacturing, Ltd.’s (Sioux Center,
Iowa) ultra-high-capacity Triton Tri-Drive
air suspensions are engineered to be used
in multi-axle configurations for heavy-
haul and off-highway applications.
Designed for traditional production line
installation, Triton’s brawny 105K carrying
capacity gives OEMs a viable and efficient

Planetary axles

Meritor, Inc. (Troy, Mich.) offers a full line
of material-handling axles for forklifts
from 5-ton to more than 36-ton capacity.
The new planetary axles are designed

and engineered based on the proven
architecture and performance of
Meritor’s current MOR axle series. The
addition of an electrified carrier—the
14Xe (a non-electric 14X carrier is avail-
able for traditional drivetrains)—is an
emissions-free, fully battery-electric pro-
pulsion option that further enhances the

of robust split spherical roller bearings

offers multiple cus-

tomer benefits. The

231 series of split

spherical roller bear-

ings are available in

shaft diameters of

240-450 mm (9.45-

17.71 in). The new bearings, which are

available in open (unsealed) and sealed

versions, offer many advantages, includ-

ing much shorter mean time to repair

(MTTR), as they can be replaced in-situ.

They also offer reduced maintenance

burden, reduction in production losses

and consequently a lower hazard risk to

workers. The sealed version increases

reliability due to improved exclusion of

dirt and allows for lower grease con-

sumption, reducing the environmental

impact. These new bearings also run at

lower noise and vibration levels com-

pared with competitor products.

recently expanded its line of mechanical

actuators with a new version that com-

bines reliable actuation with modern

The Bendix (Elyria, Ohio) Versajust GS

Slack Adjuster is designed for vehicles

requiring grounded automatic slack

adjusters because the

brake envelope cannot

accommodate slacks

that use the more com-

mon link-style con-

struction. Offering opti-

mized brake perfor-

mance, improved drum life, and extend-

ed brake-lining life, the new slack ex-

pands and enhances the Bendix portfo-

lio of slack adjusters to serve a wider

range of the marketplace. The body of

the Versajust GS was engineered to ac-

cept higher torque capacities for those

applications that may see higher fre-

quency brake applications at higher

loads (refuse, for example). Several ver-

sions of the Versajust GS are available

to fit a variety of axle geometries used

in specialty applications or, in some

cases, other truck applications requiring

high-capacity axles.

rosion-resistant mate-

rials, the AC-11 actua-

tor features an ergo-

nomic pull handle that is suitable for

remotely actuating a latch in heavy-duty

equipment applications. The AC-11 actua-

tor features an oval bezel that comple-

ments modern industrial styling and a

flush-mount design that minimizes pro-

trusion. The pull handle can be easily

actuated with a gloved hand, providing

remote actuation of a latch in challeng-

ing environments. Available in both lock-

ing and non-locking versions, the AC-11

provides direct, single or multipoint ac-

tuation of a connected latch. When com-

bined with Southco R4 rotary latches

and AC cables, AC actuators create a

complete Rotary Latching System that

provides secure, reliable remote latching

for interior and exterior applications.
