t is when you go back to your roots that you find true
inspiration. And so, when the House of Breguet decided
to go back to its roots, we knew we’d be in for quite a
surprise. Lo and behold! A star was born in Classique Phase de
Lune Dame 9088 and it brought a moon phase in tow with it.
The discreet white-gold watch has exquisitely fluted sides. Its
‘grand feu’ enamel adorned dial features ‘Breguet numericals’,
designed by the founder of the House in 1783. The minutes
track, made up of tiny stars, and the fleur-de-lys for the 5-min
fractions are another homage to the House’s watchmaking
traditions. And the hours and minutes hands are inspired by the
open-tipped hands also invented by the founder of the house in- What’s more, a series of brilliant-cut diamonds dazzle on
the bezel and lugs, and the look is completed by a small seconds
hand and moon-phase aperture at 6 o’clock. Bellissima!
