Adamson Launches Blueprint AV

Software Suite

Fairlight Teams Up With Auro Technologies

INTERNATIONAL: Blueprint AV is a multi -use
predicti ve soft ware suite from Adamson
that operates both in the 2D and 3D realm.
Designed to provide Adamson clients with
a user-defi ned level of detail, the soft ware
delivers extreme precision in any operati ng
mode.

Aft er extensive beta testi ng with key network
partners, Adamson is releasing Blueprint
AV via a licensing system that will allow end
users to distribute a pre-determined number
of copies to their team of technicians.

“The precision of the soft ware has been
proven in the fi eld and we’re very excited
to be able to off er the complete soft ware
package to the public,” said James Oliver,
Director of Marketi ng and Sales for Adamson.
“We have had very positi ve feedback as

to the operability and ease-of-use of the
soft ware, so we can’t wait to let the audio
industry really see what it can do.”

Expanding on the Adamson Shooter
soft ware, Blueprint AV allows users to easily
plan their system design. System designers
and technicians can build a simple or very
complex listening area, hang multi ple arrays,
simulate response with a variety of acousti c
predicti ve tools, and provide a detailed and
accurate rigging plot that can be exported to
DXF fi les for easy transfer to the rigging team.

Users can choose the quick and eff ecti ve
2D mode to easily determine opti mal splay
setti ngs for their arrays within their space, or
they can opt for the highly detailed 3D mode,
which allows for a wide variety of polygonal
shapes to easily and accurately build complex
spaces. The soft ware also provides a variety
of simulati on opti ons.

“The level of complexity is totally user-
defi nable. Whether using the soft ware to get
your array hung in a limited amount of ti me,
or creati ng an extremely fi ne-tuned design
for installati ons and high-profi le events,
the scalability of the soft ware is what really
makes Blueprint shine,” said Brian Fraser,
Applicati ons Engineer for Adamson.

Multi ple simulati on opti ons exist including
SPL measurements, which can be measured
using standard and proprietary weighti ng
curves, as well as standard 1/3 octave
frequencies or a full range average. Delay,
directi vity and virtual microphone responses
can also be easily calculated. A verti cal SPL
opti on allows the user to see an array’s
verti cal SPL response, accurately measuring
the initi al coverage, to the amount of
coverage delivered to the extreme back of
the intended listening area.

The soft ware comes pre-loaded with acousti c
data from Adamson’s complete line array
product range, with plans to add all point
source products in the near future.

All turnkey system purchases will come with
a Blueprint AV license, while interested
users can obtain a Personal Account license
allowing for 2 installati ons for $159.99 USD,
or a Corporate Account license allowing for 6
installati ons for $359.99 USD.

Licenses can be obtained through the
Adamson website at http://www.adamsonsystems.
com or by inquiring through the dedicated
support email blueprint@adamsonsystems.

AUSTRALIA: Fairlight, the Australian
pioneer in designing high-end live and
post producti on systems for audio, video
recorders, and cutti ng edge universal
editi ng controllers, will now implement
nati ve Auro-3D mixing into its state-of-
the-art products.

The Auro-Codec will be integrated in
Fairlight’s newest platf orm for immersive
and object-oriented 3D Sound Producti on,
the 3D Audio Workspace (3DAW).
3DAW adds immersive sound capability
to existi ng digital audio workstati ons,
whilst remaining fully compati ble with
established workfl ows.

According to Tino Fibaek, Fairlight’s CTO,
"3DAW is one of the most innovati ve
products we have launched in years and
we are very excited about the integrati on
of Auro-3D. We now support mixing,
monitoring, authoring, and reviewing of
Auro-3D deliverables, in both the Auro 11.1
and Auro 13.1 unique 3-layered speaker
layouts. We look forward to working with
Auro Technologies in the future as they have
a mature and established delivery format,
and we have a matching 3D producti on
platf orm."

"As a long-ti me big fan of Fairlight
products for music producti on and post-
producti on, I am very delighted to see the
integrati on of our Auro-3D technology,"
said Wilfried Van Baelen, CEO of Auro
