bank, The Clarence has stylish

Cliff Townhouse overlooks St
Stephen’s Green. Its nine luxurious

TRANSPORT
Take British Airways from
Singapore or Kuala Lumpur with
one stopover in London Heathrow
(from US$792; ba.com). The
airport is seven miles north of the
city centre, or about 40 minutes
by private or express coach (both
from US$6.20; aircoach.ie;
dublinbus.ie) or bus number 16
(from US$3.50; dublinbus.ie). A
taxi will cost around US$25. It’s
easy to explore the city on foot –
its centre spans just two miles
across. To go further afield, the
Dublin suburbs and coast are
well-served by the DART rail
(Dublin to Malahide from US$7
return; irishrail.ie).
